SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion LLC has promoted Paul LaCroix to vice president of Bottom Dollar Food. In his newly created position LaCroix will lead and direct the operations of Bottom Dollar, a chain of 18 stores in Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.

LaCroix joined Food Lion in 2000, where he most recently served as vice president of dry category management.

Roaring motorcycles and their leather-clad owners took to the streets in force on Saturday, but the stuffed toys and tinsel attached to their machines let everyone know they were just a bunch of softies.

The annual motorcycle toy run, organised by the Ulysses Club, matched its record-breaking turnout from last year, attracting more than 300 motorcycles.
